Check a carrier

Enter a USDOT or MC number. We pull the FMCSA registration, authority and insurance filings and show what a shipper should look at before handing over freight.

What the badge means

  • Verified: USDOT active, property authority active, liability (BIPD) filing on file at or above the required minimum, no unsatisfactory rating.
  • Verified, with cautions: passes the hard checks but something deserves a phone call: authority under 180 days old, a revocation in the history, broker authority on a carrier, no power units reported.
  • FMCSA hard stop: inactive USDOT, inactive authority, no liability filing, or an unsatisfactory rating. Carriers with a hard stop cannot bid here.

Data comes from FMCSA's Motus registration datasets, refreshed daily. A filing on record is not the same as a live policy: always request a certificate of insurance before pickup.
